What are the Lawsuits About?

Amway Quixtar Team lawsuits may have been heard of by quite a lot of people. It was in August 2007 that a group of distributors of Quixtar and the founders of Team training organization had filed a lawsuit and had asked to enjoin Quixtar from enforcing the distributor contracts including non solicitation and non competition provision. For the lawsuits the plaintiffs had alleged that the company operates in the form of pyramid scheme knowingly. It was also alleged that the company prevents the distributors from leaving their organization with aforementioned provisions.

In the Amway Quixtar Team lawsuits the company announced that it terminated the business of 15 plaintiffs that had been involved in lawsuits and had received a restraining order on a temporary basis and a preliminary injunction order at a Michigan court which prevented them from interfering with LOS. The injunction had also prevented the plaintiffs from disparaging the business and the company and soliciting the IBOs for the new company. In 2007 October the company argued that their former distributors had been violating the court order as Team continued their meetings and they continued selling their motivational materials.

Quixtar also argued that the members of Team had been using their proprietary information for promoting and selling their materials and meetings. The court had held in favour of Brady and Woodward and had allowed the operation of Team. To ensure that the injunction was not violated, Quixtar also filed action against thirty anonymous bloggers. The company is also trying to find if Brady and Woodward are involved in any kind of blogging campaign for disparaging the company. The lawsuit filed in California had been dismissed by the court later. In 2004 some of the Quixtar leaders and the IBOs launched an initiative on the web that had been designed to ensure that their web pages were prominent in search engine results. The company also states that it cannot be accused of any type of wrong doings and that he works as per the rules and regulations of Google.
