If the plasitc window of my front load dryer is cracked, can i still use the dryer if the inside window is not
Just bought a Maytag front load washer and dryer. I cracked the outer plasic window of the dryer as i was unloading it off my truck. It’s a two layer window with a glass window as the dryer sealer door, i assume. The one I cracked is the outer plastic door, cosmetic i assume….one, can i still use the dryer and two, can i just replace the plastic without replacing the whole door assembly?
I think you are correct that the plastic window is cosmetic and also for protection of the glass window as you recently discovered. It should be fine to use. You may want to check with the dealer where you purchased it also. Good luck.
