What is the different between a blender and juicer?

I want to start blending veggies and fruit in order to get my daily serving of fruits and veggies. I have been trying to research the difference between juicers and blenders (Actually I have a vitamix) From what I’m gathering, a juicer takes out the fiber. Why would this be preferable? I’m clearly a little confused. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

“Vitamix” is an upright food-processor that sounds like a jet engine.
You can’t put much in, so you’re just making a small quantity.
You have to put water in and it tastes awful.
Easier just to cook vegetables first and then use a hand-blender to puree soup.

Blender can be “continuous”, like Champion.
Which means you keep adding more carrots (or tomatoes or apples or frozen bananas) and the pulp comes out separately.
You can and should eat the pulp, but somehow it is too dry and there is so much
(juicers do too good a job of removing the pulp) that generally it is wasted.
It doesn’t taste right to add the pulp back in later.
There is no middle ground–all “grounds” or no “grounds”.
Also can be a big clean-up job.
My solution: buy bottles of Bolthouse carrot juice in supermarket and use Osterizer (non-continuous) blender for fruit smoothies (that include the fruit pulp).
