If you’re like me, chances are you’re already planning ahead – sending out party invitations or looking for whom to go party with; looking back to what Super Bowl food you had last year in order to find a number of even better Super Bowl Recipes Ideas to choose from this year; and you name it.
Whatever the story might be for you, just keep in mind that you’re going to have a blast this year regardless and by all means you will if you put your mind to it. That being said, this article – as the title suggests – is about easy Super Bowl Recipes; easy recipes you can make within minutes before kickoff and still have everyone licking their fingers while watching the game.
You bet there are several of these easy Super Bowl Recipes Ideas to choose from but here we’ll describe how to make the good, old Super Bowl Wedge. This is an old but great Super Bowl Recipes Idea a family friend used to serve on Super Bowl Sunday during the 80′s!
The Super Bowl Wedge Recipe
- 1 loaf Italian bread
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 3/4 lb cold cuts (your choice)
- 1/4 lb mozzarella cheese or 1/4 lb provolone cheese
- 1 whole roasted red pepper, cut in strips
- 1 medium red onion, sliced thinly in rings
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- The first thing you need to do is to horizontally slice a long loaf of Italian bread. Then, very lightly, sprinkle the cut sides of the bread with the olive oil.
- Now, begin placing the deli foods of your choice (ham, Genoa salami, pepperoni for slicing, mozzarella cheese, roasted peppers, red onion rings) in layers, ensuring you sprinkle every other layer with olive oil and oregano.
- Once all that is done, wrap the loaf tightly in heavy-duty aluminium/ thin foil.
- Then preheated your oven to 350 degree and place the layered loaf in there for about 30 minutes.
- Once the said time is past, bring the baked loaf out and slice into individual servings and enjoy!
