Hi Stephen here is a recipe for poppy seed bread I got from a Bread Machine Cookbook.
Water 1 cup
Vegetable Oil 1/4 Cup
Vanilla 1 tsp.
Butter Flavoring 1 tsp.
Almond Extract 1 tsp.
Salt 1 tsp.
Sugar 3 Tbs.
Poppy Seeds 2 Tbs.
Bread Flour 3 cups
Bread Machine Yeast 21/2 tsp.

Please tell me is this a 1 and 1/2 pound loaf or a 2 pound loaf based on the ingredients? The reason I ask is because The Bread Machine Cookbook by Donna Rathmell German all the recipes in it has small, Medium, and Large. so I guess a small is a half pound and a medium is a pound and a large is 1 and a half pounds right or wrong? The recipe I gave you above is for the large one. So I select 1 and 1/2 pounds on my Bread Machine not 2 Pounds right? Please someone help me out I am lost thanks. Thanks and have a great day..
I have a bread machine capacity chart, and it says if a recipe doesn’t include the bread machine size then go by this:
1 lb machine = 2 cups flour
1 1/2 lb machine = 3 cups flour
2 lb machine = 4 cups flour
Since your recipe calls for 3 cups of flour, you’d select the 1 1/2 lb. setting.
