How to make fruit crepes like IHop?
Anyone have any recipes for the crepes stuffed with fruit and cream cheese like IHop? Saw a commercial for them and there is no ihop anywhere around, thought they would make a yummy weekend treat. thanks.
crepes are soooo easy to make,I have an electric crepe maker i bought back in the 80′s..but you can use a small skillet..most recipes tell you to cook it on the bottom of pan or skillet(that’s right)upside down! but I just cook mine in a small non-stick skillet. If you have any pancake mix,use that or make your own.Your batter needs to be really runny,so thin it out with milk or water(i’m talkin’ thin). Put about a tablespoon of batter,maybe more in sm.skillet just turn skillet till it covers bottom or use spoon to spread out very thin,takes about 30-40 seconds,very lite brown,or barely,flip over,take out and place on plate..IHop puts cherry,blueberry pie filling in side,and probably squirt a combination of whipped cream and cream cheese out of a bottle(like a plastic condiment bottle) don’t put much inside,cause it will be huge when you roll it up(lol).I also make taco rollups like this,You can put anything in them.sweets,chocolate,syrup(like pancakes).Crepe is french for pancake-like.
Ask Paula Deen she toured France and had some wonderful crepes made right on the street.with lots of butter!
