How much blow-by is nomal for a Vortech V2?
I rebuilt my Vortech V2 8 months ago and used a seal from superchargerrebuilds.com for the high speed (impeller) side. I only started driving the car in March and have only put around 2,000 miles on the car since the rebuild. It leaks enough that all the couplers on my intercooler pipes have oil in them. It is also enough that the BOV makes a mess. It gets everything down near its level coated with oil and drips. Also some makes it into the intake manifold, it was in the runners when I took it apart. Even so, it isn’t enough to make a noticeable difference in oil level, so it isn’t consuming what I would consider a dangerous amount. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
So ask them to give you a new seal. Sometimes parts are defective.
