Is boiling water in a micro wave oven healthy?
In this modern world everything has to be fast, so using a microwave to boil your water for a cup of coffee is much faster than boiling it on a pot or any container. What’s heat the water to a boiling point is the radiation on the microwave and we know radiation causes live cells to die, drinking boiled water through the microwave over is drinking the radiation on the boiled water.

Microwaves are part of the electromagnetic spectrum with wavelengths in the radio wave range. About 2500 megahertz. Radio waves in this wavelength can be absorbed directly into the electron bonds within certain molecules, such as water, fat and sugars. When molecules absorb this energy, it is absorbed as kinetic energy and appears as an increase in vibrational frequency in the molecular bonds. Slow heating on a stove does the exact same thing…
Microwaves stop when the energy to the microwave emmitter turns off. Hopefully, that happens when you open the oven door. The water does not “contain” microwaves as you seem to think here. The microwaves are absorbed as energy into the molecular bonds. Nor are microwaves long lasting radioactive particles such as alpha particles or radioactive decay chain particles.
In fact, as you mentioned here, radiation tends to kill organisms. Microwaves are no different. So boiling water in your microwave is probably more effective at killing the bacteria that is present in your drinking water than boiling on the stove would be.
On the other hand, there is probably some microwave radiation leaking out of your microwave when it is running Probably a trivial amount though. half a dozen of one, 6 of another right?
