Help Identifying german caved wood decanter?

Please tell me what this is, I am assuming a decanter. I dont know if its german, but it looks to be, the label is worn and lettering gone. just below the label in black ink it reads “op -k Rd qle IM” I am not sure that is what it says cause its very faded. It has never been used and seems to be oak.

dementions are:

tray: 8 x 5
cup: 1×2
decanter: 3x6x4

Yup, it is a carved wooden cask.
They produced a lot of these.
Yours is nice because they included the tray and cup.
I would spend a bit more time trying to read that label. It might have a manufacturer or importer name on it.

You actually have it in the filling position in the cradle. The tap would be pointing down when it was being used.
The bung hole on the side was for filling it.
Kegs are different in that they don’t have a separate bunghole on the side, and were opened by driving the bung in the end in with the tap.
They sometimes would put stronger stuff than beer into them, sometimes port wine or even whiskey or brandy.
This iten was meant as a fancy way to serve beer and the reason for the bung being separate from the tap was so theyu could refill it.
It was never a container for making or shipping the beer in, just for serving it.

It looks to me like something that might have been produced by the craft shops in the Black Forest region but that is very hard to say.
Carved wooden housewares were a large industry after WWII as they tried to get back on their feet. They sold a lot of them as tourist mementos.
