Drip coffee maker vs. perculator?
I’m getting fed up with drip coffee makers! I have bought from the cheapest to the expensive coffee pots! Mr. Coffee, Cusinart, Black & Decker, Hamilton Beach and so on. They break, doesn’t get hot, alarm won’t shut up etc. I was born in the late 70′s and really don’t remember my family using a perculator. But i hear the perculator’s make better coffee and work longer. Which is better???
FYI: I only make one coffee pot a day, maybe two sometimes. I only use filtered water.
Percolators made a more bitter cup of coffee. The reason being that they circulated the already brewed coffee back over the grinds. I bought an old peculator and it worked but it also leaked. I only used it for boiling water for tea.
