When considering purchasing the Xerox Phaser 6115 Printer using Xerox 6115 printer toner, you really need to know exactly what you’re sinking your money into. This model is not only a color laser printer. It offers a plethora of functionality and features for the price tag. With color faxing, color copying, scanning and even email capabilities, it may be just the machine you have been looking for.

The printing and copying speed is a little on the slow side, so if speed is what you need, then you may need to look elsewhere. But with all the other features this model offers, it may just offset the slow speed. This unit prints 5 pages per minute color, and 20 ppm black and white using Xerox Phaser printer toner. The copy speed runs at 5 ppm color and 12 ppm B/W. It can also scan at 43 ppm.

This unit does connect to your computer via a USB, Ethernet 10 Base-T/100 Base-TX. Drivers and utilities are all included of course, as is the Xerox CentreWare IS Embedded web server software. If you are running Windows 7, you may be disappointed though, as the model currently only supports Windows 2000 – Windows Vista. Apple Mac OS 10.2 and later are also compatible.

Roomy trays are a nice feature with this printer. With a maximum capacity of 700 sheets and a standard media capacity of 200 sheets, you won’t need to reload too often. It also offers a maximum feeder capacity of 50sheets at a time, and the output tray holds up to 100 sheets.

This unit prints up to 2400 x 600 dpi color, and 2400 x 600 dpi mono. The copy resolution renders up to 600 x 600 color, and 600 x 600 mono. Automatic duplexing is an optional feature. This printer is also Energy Star Qualified. Using only 450 watts of electricity when operational, 250 watts in standby mode and 28 watts while in sleep mode. Just another way to save a few bucks if you decide to go with this model.

This printer only requires a maximum memory requirement of 128 mb, so it won’t be a burden to your system. This machine also has you covered when it comes to faxing. With full color faxing capabilities, and fax forwarding, this unit has a transmission speed of 33.6 kb per second. It is also Super G3 compatible, and offers email functions.

This printer prints on a wide variety of paper stock. Maximum copy size is 8.5 inches by 14 inches. You can print great looking graphics on plain paper, envelopes, cards and label stock, and even transparencies.

When you consider all that the Xerox Phaser 6115 Printer has to offer, it really does appear to be a great all-in-one unit. The price on this printer is $520. Xerox Phaser 6115 cartridge are approximately $50 each, and it does require 3 color Xerox toner and one black toner cartridge. As I stated before, this printer is made for business use, as it is a large unit and weighs 73 pounds. It’s also a work horse, and has a monthly duty cycle of 35000 impressions. It also comes with a standard 1 yr service and support warranty. So, if speed is not an issue, this might be a great printer for you.
