What are the activated filter carbon for?
I seen they sell the carbon all by itself in the pet stores. I was wondering what are those used for. As in what kind of filter uses those. I have a Marineland Penguin 100 Power filter and wondering if i could use that for my filter instead if buying those cartridges.
you can absolutely use this carbon, and i recommend it even to buy that and replace the carbon in your current cartridges instead of replacing them
about every 1-3 months, just simply open up the cartridges and empty out the old carbon and fill it up with new carbon
just simply rinse the cartridges you use now, every time the water flow gets low
no need to throw them out until they break apart
every time you replace them, your tank has to go through a mini cycle
