Need to know how filters to septic system and/or leech field work!
There a few different types of filters. A common one fits into the outlet of the septic tank and is removable for cleaning with a hose. The purpose of the filter is to prevent any solid matter from entering the leach field and thereby clogging the field. Some systems have stand alone filters that do the same thing, and are also easily removed for cleaning. The only way to know what kind you have is to look at it.
