All About An Atlas Pasta Machine
It is a well known fact that Italians know their pasta and the Atlas pasta machine by Marcato (made in Italy) is a simple machine that is built to last. The company manufactures both a manual (hand crank) machine and an electric pasta maker. Some people prefer the manual machine because it enables them to learn the feel and the texture of the dough. Through this method, it makes it easier for them to get the noodles exactly how they like them. They also feel that it is more fun to do everything manually; and many people enjoy the night they make the homemade pasta and say it has become their “family night.” The family gathers and talks about their day and share stories as they make the pasta. The 150 Atlas pasta machine is one of the most versatile (if not the most versatile) manual pasta machine available. The machine is comprised of a body of flat rollers for making the dough sheet and a removable double cutter. All Marcato products use something called Wellness rollers; they are made with a special light alloy that ensures your homemade pasta is 100% wholesome. The Atlas pasta machine comes in several different colors including red, black, blue, gold, ice and pink. There is also a complete system of attachments that can make more than fifteen different types of pasta like ravioli, lasagna, fettuccine and tagliolini to name a few. The 150 Atlas past machine is priced at approximately eighty dollars.
The heavy duty Atlas electric pasta machine is considered by many to be the best electric pasta maker available. You can easily have a lot of fresh pasta without much effort. You will simply need to push a switch and the pasta will be rolled and cut automatically. They do include a hand crank as well if you decide you want to try your hand at rolling out pasta the old fashioned way. Two cutter blades are included that are for spaghetti and fettuccine and there are six thickness settings. This Atlas pasta machine has a three year warranty and comes with recipes and instructions. It is priced at approximately one hundred ninety dollars.
