Is That Bottled Water You’re Sipping Really Worth The Money?
Do you buy bottled drinking water? If you do you’re not unique. According to the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), more than half of all people in the U.S. buy bottled water, to the tune of $4 billion every year.
The majestic snow capped mountains and glaciers leave us to consider that bottled water is pure and better to drink than tap water, but this may not always the case as shown on NRDC’s internet site at www.nrdc.org.
Another respected source on bottled H2O is the World Health Organization, and you can see this site at www.who.int for more information from different point of view.
Not all bottled H2O is under scrutiny, but not all is safe and pure either. You may just be buying tap water that has been bottled and then sold at like 10,000 times the cost of what it’s costing you for the water available in your home.
Why do you and me pay so much for bottled H2O you ask? Some cities tap water is less than preferred; it smells foul and tastes gross. That would be enough for me right there. But those aren’t the only rationalities why people prefer to buy bottled H2O.
It’s handy too. Not everyone feels like taking around a Nalgene bottle everyday. It’s just another thing to keep track of throughout the day. Bottled water is a better choice to soda or other unhealthy beverages, and probably better for you even if some of it is just municipal tap water.
There has been much talk the past few years about the chemicals present in public water supplies, which is why manufacturers that package bottled H2O are making a killing. Bottled drinking water just has the image of being healthier and less polluted than what comes out of our tap. In all reality, we just shouldn’t have to choose bottled water over municipal tap water, even if it is trendier.
Before you begin making regular expenditures for bottled H2O you may want to check the brand you care considering consuming great amounts of. Just check out the label of the next bottle you pick up to see if they have a internet site and what type of data they furnish to people at large. If they don’t furnish what you’re looking for, then you should be checking into another brand, or just sticking with the water from the tap. It’s cheaper.
