As the word gets bigger and bigger we start to see more technology develop. People now more than ever are decorating their houses throughout, one of the rooms that seems to get the most attention is in fact the actual kitchen.
People are spending more and more time in their new kitchens so decorating it is of utter importance, people want to have the best possible kitchen these days, not only for themselves but to also show the guests. although new kitchens may look great, they dont really have the history of the older kitchens?
One of the unique aspects that old kitchens bring is actually the fact that it gives you an insight on how people used to live. I personally went to a mansion that was built over two centuries ago. You could tell by first walking into the house life was very different back then, the house was not haunted as some people may say, but what it in fact had was what I felt a very warm presence.
Life was alot more different in the olden times, people were a lot warmer and a kitchen was somewhere everyone met. Now a days more and more people are spending their time outside.
Another thing you will realise is that folk in the olden times worked a lot more, for example if you look at a modern day kitchen you will notice that every thing is done for you, we have Dishwashers, Washing Machines, Tumber Dryers, electric blenders, toasters and so much more. But ancient homes did not have these; they did everything manually, from washing their clothes to then soaking out the water and hanging them up to dry, dishes were done by hand and people baked their own bread which was then cooked in a stove.
