My knife set block has more slots than it does knives? why is this?
its a 12 piece set and all the knives are there but there are still 2-3 more slots.
whats this for?
my guess was if there are sets with additional knives they wont have to have different blocks.
So you can add knives to the set.
It is possible that the block is also sold separately.
It is also possible that they sell another set that has a different knife selection. They may also purchase the block from another company that just makes blocks in a variety of configurations.
