If a private pilot gets a light sport aircraft, will he be restricted by light sport limitations, or can he act as though he was in a full blown aircraft approved only for his type? I’ve been eye-ing the Aero Adventure Aventura II… http://www.sea-plane.com/Aero%20Adventure/Home.html
If you have a fully qualified private pilots license and current medical, you can fly the aircraft as you would any other light airplane with similar equipment, but if you’re exercising the privileges of a LSA/Sport Pilot, then you have to comply with the LSA rules.
