A Skinny Muffin Is Healthy And Quick
When you are on your way to the office or only have a few minutes to grab some lunch in between meetings, it can be a nightmare trying to find a healthy meal that is quick to prepare and easy to eat. You can fall into an unhealthy meal if you choose fat-packed sandwiches, fizzy drinks and crisps. However if you are looking for a meal that satisfies your taste buds and fills you up, there is something available in coffee shops and cafes.
Going for a skinny muffin and a coffee made with skimmed or soy milk is giving you a meal that is delicious, filling and quite good for you. Or at least, it is not really bad for you like some of the other lunch options available.
but how can a muffin and a coffee be a meal that is convenient and filling as well as saving you hundreds of calories on a normal meal?
Well, as the coffee shop makes everything for you, it is not hard to see where the convenience part comes in. It takes a matter of minutes to order and collect your drink and muffin so you can be on your way in no time. Spills should not be a problem if you are walking or getting into a taxi because the lid will prevent any liquid from escaping. You also don’t need to think about a plate or knife and fork with your muffin because you can simply bite into it.
it is the ingredients which make the meal filling and nutritious because they are different from the traditional ingredients of the unhealthy version. The flour in a skinny muffin is usually a combination of wholegrain and soy flour. You feel fuller for longer when these two grains are consumer rather than white flour. The flavouring ingredients are usually also healthier, like fruit not chocolate chips.
For your coffee, skimmed or soy milk are the best choice over full fat or semi-skimmed because they are a god source of protein and lower in fat. Protein is a necessary source of dietary nutrient for the body and is very healthy. It is healthy because the body cannot store it as fat and the benefits go to our muscles. This again makes you feel fuller for longer.
Choosing a skinny muffin and soy or skimmed coffee is healthy, tasty and quick, a much better choice than a salty sandwich and sugary pop.
