does a mariner boat motor pee the same way a mercury motor does ( at the base of the power head)?
no water is coming out just started this today
The ‘pee’ thing is usually just a bypass to give you a visual that the cooing is working. Most of the cooling water gets dumped into the exhaust stream and comes out the center of the prop. Not all engines ‘pee’. If yours used to there are 2 possible reasons. One is there is no water flow which is unlikely unless the inlet is plugged. Usually when the pumps go bad there is just reduced flow. The other reason is something plugged up the little bypass hole and the rest of the water is flowing normally.
