The retro flip clock, technically referred to as an analog clock with digital display, is a common style of retro clock that has endured through the entire decades of technological enhancements. Flip clocks were particularly popular in the 1960s and 1970s, but can still be seen today.

A flip clock brings together old fashioned technology of an analog clock together with a contemporary digital display. How It Works?
Flip clocks are generally designed using two pieces of rotating wheels. A motor moves the wheels at various speeds with the fast wheel having one revolution in each hour and the slower wheel making one revolution every twenty four hours. The slower wheel features the hour and the marking of AM or PM, whereas the faster wheel contains the minute numbers.
