using indoor electric heaters for outdoor garage?
i need to replace an alternator on my parents van, it will take about 2 hours and its very cold outside, the garage is not that big so i was thinking if i got about 3 indoor electric heaters and used them while working on the van is there any safety issues with that?
The only effect would be if they were directed right at you. They would warm you, not the garage. You will need to have 3 separate 15 amp circuits, assuming you are using 1500 watt heaters in the USA (120 volts). Two hours would not raise the temperature very much at all if the garage is not insulated. Expensive to run also.
