Meditations With Tea $6.26 For thousands of years, tea has been used to achieve good health and a calming sense of well-being—because it works! It is one of life’s simplest pleasures and can be enjoyed almost anywhere and anytime. Now, tea expert Diana Rosen has written a life-affirming guide that teaches twelve distinct ways to combine the pure bliss of tea with the power of personal meditation. Meditations with Tea will show you how you can “de-stress” your mind and body through breathing rituals, stretching, relaxation practices, and mindful concentration on tasks both large and small. The secret lies in complementing these practices with the artful preparation and consumption of tea, one of the most soothing nectars of the natural world. In thoughtful prose, Meditations with Tea describes how tea creates a symbiotic relationship with meditation because it relaxes the body while keeping the mind alert. Best of all, tea’s therapeutic benefits can last long after the last drop has been consumed. Meditations with Tea is filled with inspiring quotes and practical ideas for reconnecting with your family, friends, nature, and yourself. It is the perfect gift for anyone who wants to learn how to achieve a natural, much needed respite from the chaos of everyday life, one that is simple, economical, and totally pleasurable. |

Empire Of Tea $16.06 From the fourth century B.C. in China, where it was used as an aid in Buddhist meditation, to the Boston Tea Party in 1773, when its destruction became a rousing symbol of the American Revolution, to its present-day role as the single most consumed beverage on the planet, The Empire of Tea explores the effects of the humble Camelia plant–both tragic and liberating–in the history of civilization. Incorporating research from a wide range of sources, renowned cultural anthropologist Alan MacFarlane recounts the history of tea from its origins as a wild plant in the Eastern Himalayas, and details its past and continuing effects on culture, art, politics, and environment around the world. He explains, among other things, how tea became the world’s most prevalent addiction, how tea was used as an instrument of imperial control, and how the cultivation of tea has led to the invention of machines and technology during the industrial revolution and beyond. The Empire of Tea also incorporates personal stories of the people whose lives have been affected by their contact with the global obsession with tea, including the elegantly detailed account of Iris MacFarlane about her life on a tea estate in the Indian province of Assam, the world’s center of tea cultivation. Both an absorbingly written narrative history and a fascinatingly tour of the world’s great tea cultures-Japan, China, India, France, the United Kingdom, and others-The Empire of Tea brings into sharp focus one of the forces that have shaped history. |

Some Of The Celebrity and The Common Peoples Wrinkle Treatments
Most skin aging complaints involve unpleasant lines and wrinkles. In fact, wrinkle treatment is the #1 reason for Botox injections, collagen injections and face lifts. Not everyone is comfortable with going under the needle, so collagen synthesizing anti wrinkle cream products and other treatment options enjoy widespread popularity. It doesn’t matter whether you opt for a simple Cetaphyl, Neutrogena or Oil of Olay product or you go high-tech with a stem cell cream like Amatokin, younger looking skin isn’t just for movie stars.
The quintessential element in preventative treatment is simply sunscreen (SPF 15 or higher) and avoiding the sun during those crucial hours from noon to 3pm. Ninety percent of deep wrinkles are caused by sun-related skin damage, so don’t overlook the importance of slathering yourself up with lotion at the beach. As with all health-related things, exercise and diet are important as well. Instead of white bread, refined foods, cereals, sugar, and potatoes, try eating fruit, beans, vegetables, sourdough, multigrain bread, honey and sweet potatoes. Instead of bar soap and hot showers, take a warm shower and use body wash. The importance of a daily moisturizer after age twenty cannot be overstated.
Once the skin damage has already been done, there are still ways of obtaining healthier and younger looking skin. A good do-it-yourself method involves first using a scrub or exfoliator to remove dead skin cells, followed by a moisturizer and anti wrinkle cream or firming cream. There are special eye wrinkle creams and nighttime revitalizing creams that can restore the skin with essential vitamins. For instance, creams with vitamin A (like Retinol) help build collagen beneath the skin and minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Vitamin C (or ascorbic acid) is a powerful antioxidant that stabilizes collagen and aids in skin healing. Another antioxidant, vitamin E, helps reduce swelling and puffiness beneath the skin, while improving hydration and softness.
Some people prefer “all natural” cures. In addition to dieting and exercise, there are natural wrinkle treatment products on the market too. N-6 furfuryladenine (kinetin) found in plant cells and in vitro human skin fibroclasts serve as a natural wrinkle reducer. Some people are allergic to Retinol and vitamin C containing products, so Kinetin is a viable alternative. Green tea extract has been used by the Asians for centuries due to its anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant qualities. Q10 supplements keep free radicals moving to encourage younger looking skin and oral vitamin E or DMAE are options for triggering the body’s natural anti-aging processes too.
Individuals over 40 years of age will undoubtedly notice fine lines and wrinkles, skin thinness, uneven skin pigmentation, dehydration and declining elastin or collagen production. Cumulative sun exposure may even contribute to sun spots or skin cancer. Research suggests that if detected early, 90% of skin cancer is treatable. Also, there are many wrinkle treatment products on the market to meet our aging skin’s needs, helping to stimulate the body’s natural processes once again.
End those fight with your wrinkles. You do not have to live with unsightly lines that age you beyond your years. You do not have to undergo expensive and painful cosmetic procedures to banish those lines for a while. Plus the procedures are not permanent. You will have to get them again in a few years. Instead of those options why not look into the new face creams and home treatments to banish the lines and those crow’s feet? They will not cost you as much and you can use them continuously.
