brita pitcher filter. dont know how to use it.? help?

ok so at my job they gave me one of those brita pitcher filter and i dont knoe how to use them. help anyone.

1. Buy a Brita pitcher.
2. Put the filter into the “hole” in the plastic top part.
3. Fill the pitcher and immediately empty out 1-2 times. (This will take all the excess filter residue out-water will look gray.)
4. Refill with more water (should be clear).
5. Ready to drink!
