Is it time to change the filter in my brita pitcher?
I just got a brita pitcher about a month ago, and some spare filters. It has the electronic thing on it that takes a bar away every 2 weeks, and has a total of 4 bars. There are 2 bars left on mine, but the water is starting to taste a little like tap water. I drink a lot of water, I think, so I am wondering if I need to change the filter even though according to this thing I’m okay.
If not, should I wash it or what?
i usually change mine once every 2 months. the electronic thing is just a guideline. when it runs down to zero bars, I still don’t change the brita filter. I wait about a week after that thing runs out, then change it. the filters are a bit pricey so I try to get the most out of it. you don’t need to wash the filter since water runs through it constantly.
