Moving into a new apartment for the first time can be fun, but finding enough stuff to fill it up and make it livable and comfortable can be something else! Another great gift is a convection oven. Not an entire stove – but one the size of a large toaster oven. For singles who actually cook meals, this is a welcome option rather than firing up the oven every night when it’s dinner time. This type of oven cooks faster, uses less electricity, and can usually fit a real meal that would include a good sized chicken, a frozen lasagna, a pizza, or even a few baked potatoes. They come with timers, additional trays, and even self cleaning options on the more expensive models.
And no home should be without a good quality food prep station, preferably a black decker food processor. These are heavy duty and have great attachments to do just about anything including making frozen drinks, grinding meats, or even blending smoothies.
Some of the them can be put into the dishwasher because the housing is water proof. Ask anyone who has ever had a food process how nice it would have been – after an all too common ‘accident ‘ to be able to just put all the pieces into the dishwasher instead of hand cleaning each and every crevice.
