The Perfect Water Purifiers/Filters for Your Home
Having water purifiers/filters in your home is now a necessity; there are an estimated two billion people who suffer without access to good clean drinking water. There has also been an increasing number of people in The United States who are complaining that the water which they drink from taps tastes and even smells different. What makes our water taste funny almost to the point where it is undrinkable is the chlorine, lead and fluoride that is present in it.
Most of our cities get their water source from a municipal supply, that is, the water we drink is recycled from waste water. Although the water has been certified free of bacteria, a number of cases have been reported where people have fallen sick from water poisoning. This can come in two main forms; from drinking straight untreated water and from the over compensation of chemicals in the water.
What may look clean to the human eyes is in fact full of bacteria when viewed under a microscope. Here you will find tremendous amounts of disease carrying bacteria. If you are lucky you may be able to taste the difference in water and maybe even smell a slight odor. This should tell you that the water youre consuming has a high degree of bacteria present. Knowing that the water you are drinking may be exposed to deadly bacteria this should prompt you to make a wise health decision and invest in a water purifier/filter for your home.
What Filters Actually Do?
Water filters do just that, they further filter the water that passes through the taps. Some are more complex than others but they all generally do the same thing. Whole house filters are one of the more sophisticated models and are able to filter water throughout the whole house, including showers and garden sprinklers.
Whole house water filters are a popular choice if youre extra cautious about the water your family drinks. Installed in your main water pipe line this system first uses UV rays to kill any bacteria that may have survived from your water source. After this is completed the water is then passed through to the whole house system where water is filtered down even further. The result is pure water from all water outlets in your house. If you want the best then whole house is definitely something to consider.
Other systems which should also be considered are undersink filters, countertop filters and faucet filters. They work just as good as whole house filters but are much cheaper. The main difference is that you wouldnt be getting pure water throughout your entire house, but only from one water outlet, depending on which outlet the filter is attached too. Another major difference is the rate at which water is given out from taps. By using these filters, water pressure would be slightly lower than normal compared to whole house filters which gives off the same pressure.
In my opinion, if your familys health is of utmost importance than you should invest in water purifiers/filters, not as a kitchen ornament but as an essential part of the kitchen.
