For Quilters: joining hexagons to make Grandma’s Flower quilt?
Hi
I have never attempted a hand sewn quilt (made a few by machine). I would like to try the hexagon flower quilt. How do you join the hexagons? I’ve read on various sites to do a whip stitch (right sides together), just looping along. How will this lay open? do I have to iron it to force it to lie flat? I couldn’t be more confused but I’m willing to just try it and see what happens. Any advice appreciated.
if you machine sew them do you still use a quarter inch seam allowance?
