Earn Extra Cash Working From Home – 3 Methods Of Making Money With Your Hobbies
Every single one of us has a hobby. (Well, at least, I hope!)
But, I bet that very few actually sat down to explore if it’s possible to earn extra cash working from home with our hobbies. Have you? I know I never did until recently. I realized that many of us will continue to do the things that makes us happy and relaxed no matter what state the economy is in.
And we’re going to spend good money on these things. And, what are these things, you ask? Well, let’s take a quick look at some of the things that many of us can’t wait to participate in when we’re off our 9 to 5 jobs: scrap-booking, digital photography, woodworking, birdwatching, dog training, wedding planning, quilting, and the list goes on and on.
I bet just reading that just put a smile on your face, especially if you recognized one of your favorite hobby/past time on the list. This article is going to talk about a few ways that you can cash in on your passions and interests, so, sit up and take notice.
The first method in which you can earn extra cash working from home with your hobby is by writing blog post and being paid for it. There are tons and tons of blogs on the internet that need constant new written material to be posted in order to keep the attention of the readers. People who own these blogs are willing to pay others to write these posts.
So, if your hobby is model trains, then why not get paid to talk about it in a blog post. Contact the hundreds of model trains bloggers on the web and offer them this service. It’s a great way to make extra income selling your words, so to speak.
The next way to make money is by incorporating the use of videos. Videos on the internet are the rage these days and I reckon they are here to stay. So, why not get a piece of the action and put yourself in front of where the money is?
Let’s say your favorite hobby is making homemade dog food. You can contact website owners selling a complimentary dog product and offer to create a short video on homemade dog food recipes that you filmed in your own kitchen with an inexpensive flip camera. Now what you do is this.
Listen closely, okay?
Offer to sell the video to the website owners. Tell them that they can give the video out to their customers. It can be used as an unadvertised bonus after a purchase. It’s a win-win. You get to ‘do your hobby’ and get paid for it. The website owner creates goodwill in the eyes of their customers which leads to more sales and referrals in the future. And, the customer gets a nice treat in the form of a video which they can use to spoil their beloved pets with.
Win-win-win. I can’t shout this any louder, folks. (Smile)
Another way to make money with your hobby is by selling your own product on the internet based on your passion and interests, of course. There are hundreds, if not thousand, of people online who are searching for information on say, food and wine, or, candle making, doll collecting, and the like.
These very hobbyists will pay for this information and that’s where you can come in and make a nice income. The first thing that you would need to do is either create for yourself a basic website or you can have it created for you. This site is where you will be selling the information product on the topic of your hobby.
This article went into a brief discussion listing three methods in which you can earn extra cash working from home with your hobby, interest, and/or passion. The first method was to offer to write blog posts in your hobby of choice.
The next method we talked about was to create short videos based on your interest and offer it for a fee to website owners. And, lastly, we tapped into the idea of becoming a product owner by starting a business selling information about your hobby to those searching for this on the internet.
