Why Should I Buy A Ducane Grill?

When shopping for a new barbecue grill, a Ducane grill is definitely one of the best choices you can make. The Ducane family manufacturers started in 1946.. Eventually barbeque grills evolved. Ducane barbeque evolution invented features that became standard benefits on future bbq grills. The Ducane family added features to the barbecues far before other grill manufacturers started using these parts. When surveyed, three out of four Ducane grill customers say that their next barbecue grill would be a Ducane model! Before purchasing replacement parts, be aware of the models’ differing features:

1. Stainless BBQ Grill parts.

Stainless steel is an excellent material for the exterior of barbecue grills. 304 stainless steel is sometimes limited to the grill burner. Sometimes the burners will be high-quality stainless and other grill parts will be cheaper stainless undetectable to the human eye. Stainless steel helps to prevent rusting, staining, and corrosion. Good stainless has chemicals added during smelting for outdoor use but cheaper grades of stainless steel that are not good for outdoor use cannot be recognized by looking at them and get used by lower end barbeque grill manufacturers trying to look like higher end grills! Not only barbecues but commodities of all kinds are made cheaply when sent overseas. Cheap 200 series stainless steel barbeque grill parts will corrode quickly in areas with high humidity and lots of moisture. Sometimes a grill manual will say “304 stainless” because of the burners while cheaper stainless is not disclosed and will corrode quickly.

2. Warming rack.

This is a crucial feature if you’re grilling for a small army, or have a gap between cooking and serving tasty foods. The warming rack is positioned perfectly so the food that you’ve already grilled will stay warm, but won’t get overcooked. These are so commonly included bbq parts that we don’t think of the warming rack as optional anymore. Even high-end grills use plated grates for the warming rack.

3. Burners.

If you want the convenience of using your barbecue grill to do other types of cooking besides grilling, then choose a grill with burners. Still, various features can affect which types of replacement parts you’d need. Less expensive grills use cheap material for the burners instead of American stainless steel. The number of burners typically will differ between 2-4, although you can have more if you like. If repairs are needed you’ve got to remove the gas grill grates and briquette grid to get a look at the burners.

4. Grid.

This is another key replacement part of Ducane grills. Cooking grates can be aluminum, porcelain enameled steel and stainless steel of varying diameters. These features will influence the cost of replacement parts. When purchasing a replacement part, make sure to know the exact model number of your Ducane grill.

5. Lid thermometer.

This is an invaluable tool that lets you know the cooking temperature of your meats, without needing to open the grill’s lid and then test the meat. An open barbeque hood releases heat. The lid thermometer allows you to check the temperature of your cooking meats without ever having to open the grill’s lid or have to test the meat temperature yourself, which is invaluable in itself. While you may need to replace the thermometer, it’s still a useful add-on.

6. Gas grill box for smoking.

This attachment is a must-have for grillers who are fans of smoked foods. The smoker box makes a gas bbq more flavorful with little flavor added during the normal cooking process. Gas barbecues do not add flavor the way charcoal bbq grills can? Add wet wood chips to the barbeque in a smoker box. Many people have tried and used a variety of different woods to create the perfect flavor when smoking on the grill. These flavors then complement certain types of food. Hardwood charcoal can be added to the barbeque grill wood smoker box for charcoal smoked flavor.

7. Rotisserie accessory.

This is a critical component for your Ducane grill if you want to add some variety when cooking on it. When using the rotisserie, the mere variety of different uses for roasting small birds will be enough for any griller to become excited. Slow cooking on a rotisserie is healthy and the spit can be used for grilling with a basket. Rotation of the spit rod on the rotisserie cooks food evenly. Meanwhile, the suspended rotisserie mechanism allows for excess fat to drip from the meat. To perfect your roasted meats, sauces and herbs will give your food the taste you crave. While most people use rotisserie to cook chickens, you can also cook a wide variety of small game birds, such as duck.
