GE washer won’t agitate or spin.?
Model# WJRR4170GOWW.
I bypassed the lid switch and she ran. But for the next load she filled, I hear the timer clicking but she will not agitate or spin. I don’t smell any rubber burning so I guess it’s not the motor coupler. The belt is fine. Why would she run for a test run but not for a true load.
Your motor may be bad they have a thermal switch that shuts the motor off when it gets to hot. G E motors are easy to change 3 nuts the coupler and the plug. Go to a store that sells used appliances a used motor should run you about $30 a new motor is about $90
