I need help setting up a healthy, realistic, affordable diet plan for a family of five.?

If anyone can help out with recipies or just advice on trying to get the kids to eat their meals. At this point anything will help.
Thanks for most of your responses all. I see I need to add some more detail though. First my kids absolutly refuse to eat their meals. I know they won’t let themselves starve. They get plenty of exersice and outside play. I’ve had very little junk food in the house. I’ve been looking for recipies that use vegetables, because I’m trying to get away from so much meat and fat. This the kids refuse to eat. 1 of my daughters, going on day 3 now, has only ate breakfast, and that is it the whole day. She is a very stubborn one and I see this lasting a while. I was hoping to find recipes that weren’t so gourmet like and more realistic. Which I did. Thanks Sparkles. Now I just hope my daughter will get hungry enough to eat, cuz I really really hate doing this to her. Just gotta remember she wont starve herself, right?

Get rid of all the junk food snacks in the house. Some healthy snacks kids usually go for are things like string cheese, apples with peanut butter, ants on a log (celery, spreadable cheese, and raisins), smoothies, and granola bars. As far as meals go, Mexican food is fairly cheap and pretty easy to make healthy. Just stay away from frying. You can replace sour cream with lots of salsa and use low fat cheese. If you keep it kid friendly and avoid things like brussel sprout soup, you’ll probably be ok. Give your kids a choice of healthy recipes and have them help you make them. This way they will feel involved and excited to eat the meal they helped prepare.
