Why is my shower water lukewarm in the morning but hot at night?
I have a one handle shower thingy that uses a valve to mix the hot and cold water.
Could the valve be bad? Could the thermostat on the water heater be having problems sometime overnight? How can I test each device?
First look for a timer, somewhere. it may be set improperly. The clock is mechanical and loses when there is a power interruption. The top temp control may be set too low on the heater. You need a voltage tester to check either. and a current meter to test the heater elements.
