How to serve champagne rose?
I just bought a bottle of Moët et Chandon Rose.
First of all, I’m planning to open it on next weekend till then it’ll be staying in my closet as layed down. Is that okay?
I also bought a pair of vintage champagne glass. I always see glasses like that in Grace Kelly movies. I like them better than the long ones. I hope that’d be okay too.
But I’m a bit lost about how to serve them. Shall I chill the glasses beforehand? I’ll ask my boyfriend to pop it anyway. Shall I chill the glasses by putting them into fridge or turning them down after putting ice in them? I’ll be leaving the bottle out in balcony and the weather will probably be chilly.
I’m planning to serve it with chocolate fondue after a dinner that companied by white wine.
Is that all suitable and fine?
Nice choice of wine! Yes, it will be fine in your closet on its side. Actually since you’re not cellaring it for a long time, it would even be fine upright. Don’t chill the coupes or even dump ice in them, just pour chilled Champagne in them. As far as keeping it cold on the balcony, put the bottle in a bucket of ice. Small warning: Coupes lose bubbles faster than flutes, so don’t fill them all the way up so you can finish it before it goes flat in the coupe. Then pour yourself another glass.
