It features washable granules that you never need to change and a SaniSolution cartridge that lasts for 120 washes (240 washes when set to cat activation mode).

Hook the box up to a cold-water outlet and plug in the electrical cord. When kitty goes to the bathroom, the liquid drains through the granules lining the bottom of the box. The solid waste is scooped by the GenieHand and is converted to liquid. Clean water fills the basin and the granules and box are scrubbed by the GenieHand. Kitty-friendly SaniSolution provides decontamination and the dirty water and waste are flushed away. The box and granules are then dried by a hot air blower.
