What is the best Heater for a 29 gallon fresh water fish Aquarium?
Was wondering on some opinons on a heater for a fresh water aquarium. Don’t want to spend a lot but want a good one so willing to pay a little more to get a really good one. Thanks
A general rule of thumb for heaters is 5 watts per gallon. So for a 29 gallon tank, you’ll need at least a 145 watt heater. Round up to 150, and you have lots of heater options. If you want to save money and get a lower wattage, you can. Although it will take a longer time to heat the aquarium and will heat a few degrees less than what you set it to.
